The Society for Community Restoration (SCR) is working since 2009 with the aim to Restore marginalized communities through advocacy and awareness campaigns, by taking action for the protestation of human rights and values. Provision of quality education, and better health care facilities. Skills & literacy training/workshops, and working towards sustainable job creation, thereby reaching out and uplifting the living standard of societies by generating energy and creativity. SCR is registered under Societies Act XXI of 1860 having registration No. RP/378. The registered office is situated in the Province of Punjab, Pakistan.

At SCRPAK, our main goal is simple yet profound: to provide help where it's needed most. We are driven by a deep commitment to supporting individuals, families, and communities in their times of need. Through our various programs and initiatives, we strive to extend a helping hand, whether it's through education, healthcare, or environmental projects. We believe that helping others is not just a noble act; it's a fundamental responsibility that unites us as a global community.

AIMS, OBJECTS AND PURPOSES OF THE ORGNIZATION

  • To bring about the advancement, development, and empowerment of communities in rural or urban areas of Pakistan. We aim to transform lives and alleviate poverty through community development in: Literacy, Human Rights Awareness, Practical care, Environmental issues, Disaster/Emergency work, Career counseling/opportunities, teaching skills and skill enhancement, promoting talents and fair-trade, and relief to as many lives as possible.
  • To run, maintain or assist any educational or other institution for purposes such as coaching, guidance, counselling, academic development.
  • To arrange meetings, seminars, and conventions for adults and young people, both male and female. This training would include human rights, gender, child rights, women’s rights, development, education, peace, report-writing, project development, etc.
  • To implement community-based programs for socio-political and economic empowerment of the marginalized sections of the wider community.
  • To run, maintain or assist any vocational training for young people or special education for adults and disable people.
  • To grant individual scholarships for poor, deserving, and/or bright students for elementary and higher education in Pakistan or abroad.
  • To give relief to the poor in form of financial or other assistance in kind by way of distribution of books, notebooks, clothes, uniforms, meals or other.
  • To analyze existing human development programs and their impact; to pursue other programs and their impact, to pursue evolving alternative theoretical base for human-centered development activitism.
  • To seek for the opportunities for conducting community-based research and assess the impact of its development programs.
  • To give awareness to the rehabilitation and saving lives of addicted persons (drugs or by lustful means).
  • To assist communities in identifying their basic health, welfare and development needs, and determining ways to meet them on a self-support basis.
  • To promote understanding of the people about the population issues and adoption of small family norms in the interest of individual, family, community, and national welfare.
  • To run, maintain or assist any Hospital, Medical Institution, Medical College/University, Nursing Home, Old Home, Nursery Home, Orphanage Home, Midwifery Training Center and/or clinics or to grant assistance to needy and poverty-stricken persons for meeting the cost of medical treatment.
  • To create informed public opinion about the link between population, health, education, environment, women’s development, human rights, social welfare, and national progress.
  • To enable community development for improving people’s living conditions through development projects, humanitarian efforts, relief activities, medical camps, health seminars, academic programs and other activities in normal circumstances and due to natural calamities.
  • To support farmers for the development of agricultural activities such as (farming, cultivation, harvesting, livestock etc.).
  • To promote peace and harmony in Pakistan through sports, poetry, interfaith, intellectual, social, cultural, religious and/or other events and activities.
  • To advocate on the issue of national and regional concerns and strengthen networks of civil organization groups and organizations, which are working to protect, support and promote human rights, peace and democratic values.
  • To give equal access to communities to health care, education, employment, career counseling and opportunities, vocational guidance, equal remuneration, social security, and public office, etc.
  • To change the social attitudes and community practices by active participation and involvement of both men and women of all color, age, or race.
  • To research on human rights issues for finding gray areas, creating awareness among people, and suggesting links to the development organization to build their development initiatives on the findings
  • To research on issues concerning human life and evolve alternative-development theoretical base, in order to facilitate the civil organizations in undertaking need-based development programs.
  • To eliminate discrimination and all forms of violence against women and the girl child; to build and strengthen partnership with civil organizations.
  • To network with other like-minded organizations to contribute in the struggle of mass awareness and mobilization.
  • To collaborate with the government(s), NGOs, specialized agencies by enlisting their active support for the council policy, programs, and plans.
  • To establish good humanitarian contacts through Media Services including Newspapers, Magazines, Tracts, Internet, Radio and Television Networks.
  • To provide training to the activities of the civil organizations; to broaden their vision on issues of national and regional concerns and improve their technical skills so that they are able to effectively implement their development programs
  • To undertake programs on socio-political and economic empowerment of the marginalized sections of the urban and rural communities.
  • To encourage participation of volunteers and special interest groups, such as labour, local peasants, professional workers and social development workers in the implementation of the objectives of the organization.
  • To affiliate or associate with other national/international institutions, organizations, establishments, or enterprises; and formulate and adopt suitable methods and strategies for the attainment of the objects of the organization.
  • To work with women in rural and disadvantaged urban slums to improve their role and status in their family and community.
  • To build, aid, assist, setup, manage, maintain, administer, and run suitable model projects and programs, stronger human resources, value systems, scientific, technological, management based, and socio-economic development activities in various communities.
  • To undertake research in the areas of social, economic, demographic, and environment.
  • To make efforts by creating awareness in Pakistani women and to provide free legal aid to the needy and deserving for remedy of violation and injustice on women of Pakistan.
  • To make efforts by sending Pakistani delegations to foreign countries regarding fundamental human rights and to create good relationships on humanitarian grounds between the foreign countries and Pakistan.
  • To take all appropriate measures to further the above objectives to do and perform all such acts, matters, and all or any of the above-mentioned objectives that may have direct or indirect bearing on it.
  • To acquire property for the sole use for public good by making it available for public purposes as for example, housing a school, library, clinic, and/or as a community center to be available for public use as delivering education, training classes, worship meetings, discourses, seminars and other public functions for benefit of the society.
  • To run a business for charitable purposes.
  • To advance and promote any other object of general public welfare.
  • To undertake any other activity related to the above activities but which are not inconsistent with the above objects.
